Jonathan Holslag teaches geopolitics at the Free University Brussels and various defence academies. He was a special advisor to the First Vice-President of the European Commission and advised governments and companies in various other capacities. His last books: A political History of the World (Penguin, 2019) and Silk Road Trap (Polity, 2019).
